TM30 Slip in Passport
TM30 Slip in Passport
When I visited Hua Hin in December I went to the Immigration Office to complete a TM30 form (though confusingly they gave us a TM28 form to fill in). Now I have a paper slip in my passport which says "Receipt of Notification". Is there any reason I should leave it there? Or remove it?
Re: TM30 Slip in Passport
Go to immigration and ask them.
Re: TM30 Slip in Passport
I always have it in my passport. Last time I extended my visa for a year, they wanted a copy of it, which they never wanted before.

May be correct:

In any case, do not remove it and give them an excuse for tea money!

Re: TM30 Slip in Passport
I hope this isn't off at a tangent...but if I am staying in my own house (company name, with a blue book) on a tourist visa, do I need to do a TM30? And will I need one to get a 30 day extension?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Re: TM30 Slip in Passport
Just keep it. My experience with immigration over the years is that each officer has his/her own definition of what is required. I've lost count of the number of times I have been asked for a copy of my passport. That can be: a copy of the main page, a copy of the main page and visa page, a copy of all pages with stamps on or a copy of every single page including blank ones. Every single immigration officer has his/her own idea of what a copy of a passport is!

This is the same position I am in. I own my apartment and stay in it when I go to Hua Hin. Legally you need to complete a TM30 (though I think many people don't). It was a real pain and I spent 2 hours at the immigration office.
There is an online way of doing this which I haven't been able to do. Maybe I will try this next time.
Re: TM30 Slip in Passport
This is a good recent explanation of the TM30 requirements.

Has anyone tried the TM30.io service? I am thinking of trying it.

As a general rule, I would say that if Immigration puts something in your passport, it's just as well to leave it there.derek60 wrote: ↑Thu May 11, 2023 3:35 am When I visited Hua Hin in December I went to the Immigration Office to complete a TM30 form (though confusingly they gave us a TM28 form to fill in). Also, since it's doing no harm by being there, why remove it?
As various others have said, Immigration may want to see it in your passport next time you have any business with them.
Re: TM30 Slip in Passport
Do you mean it's the same or have they added something new? I have the 2020 regulation downloaded in both Thai and English from Immigration in 2020 but if they have added something I can't find that from Thai Immigrations website!PET wrote: ↑Sat May 13, 2023 9:21 amThe form LINK above your post clearly states re the TM contents that it is a" UPDATED 2023" so there you have it.Hahuahin wrote: ↑Fri May 12, 2023 4:33 pm So where is the regulation which change (again) the latest regulation from 2020
