Calling 0845 numbers

Post by Don East Stand »

Hi, :thumb:

Any advice for calling 0845 numbers (UK) from Thailand.

Is it cheaper using a Thai mobile or using a UK sim?

Are there still prefixes that you can put in front of the number required to get cheaper calls?

I found a thread from 2009 but I guess that may be out of date

Once again any help would be appreciated

All the service providers (local sim card) have those prefixes for VOIP. For Truemove it is 006/country code/.. and DTAC is 00400/country code/...
How that helps. You can also s search online.

It’s a long time since I’ve used it, but in the past I’ve used 0050044 and then your UK number. These days on the rare occasion I need to call a number that isn’t available on WhatsApp, I use Skype at about 5p a minute.
