Gilette Mach 3+ versus the Watsons 5 blade razor
Thoughts Chaps, on this head to head battle?
Personally I can't remember how good the Mach 3 is, it's just been too long
As for the Watsons 5 blade, its pretty good but I'm in no hurry to invest in a another pack of blades let's put it that way. Does the job reasonably well but there's better shaves out there im sure
Yes I'll grab a Mach 3 in Tesco and try but just wondered if anyone has used both
TIA

Re: The Shaving Thread
Probably, but be aware of my comments about Gillette purchased online. I bought the Gillette 5 blade version, thinking I was getting a bargain - much cheaper than the discounted blades my brother buys for me. They ended up in the bin - they were Chinese knock-offs, and lethal.
Hopefully, they will be fine, but if you go for it, be extremely careful with your first shave.

Yep, anything on Laz that is too cheap to be true is a fake/knockoff. We had similar experiences with copy electric toothbrush heads.

But I'm worried about the stuff that isn't too cheap to be true!
In fact it's roughly in line with UK prices. Reassuring in one way but even worse if it were fake!
Mind you I've never had an issue with returning stuff to Laz, it's just the disappointment and the hassle.

Click on this:
https://www.lazada.co.th/shop/gillette/ ... ch_history
It says 679 but it's now the higher price you list.
It's the same I bought a few months ago and they are fine. When they arrive if the pack says the Gillette Proctor & Gamble factory in Vietnam as manufacturer, they are original Gillette.
Note: There is no razor handle included in that package.

Yes I've had this issue a few times, the actual price is not the 'display' pricePeteC wrote:Click on this:

Anyway, good to hear genuine stuff

Re: The Shaving Thread
I've just been to Watsons in MV
I bought 3 packs their 5 blade razor(4 heads in each pack)
199 baht each pack reduced from 259
So 50 baht per blade which was same as the mach 3+ offer for 12 heads (599)
I will get 20 shaves per blade maybe 25
As stated before they're a 'good' shave but not the very best

Disappointed with these Watsons, truly don't seem as good as previous batch. No way 20/25 shaves, more like 6!!
I've got a mate coming from UK soon. I can get Gillette fusion 5 razor plus 10 blades for £21.00 with Tesco clubcard
Quick look on lazada said 6 for £22.50 and are they real? But I'm shit on Lazada am I missing a good deal?
I know Gillette expensive but I do agree with BB that you get the quality that you're paying for
So I might try the Rolls Royce of shaves for a while see how I go
Any comments?

Re: The Shaving Thread
Anyone else get eye irritation from using shaving gel?
I've had it for many years
And no I don't get it in my eyes! It's just when I apply the gel it's clearly near my eyes and then my eyes sting like hell for a few minutes and I can't keep them open.
Not great when you're trying to shave!
Solutions on a postcard please(and not 'grow a beard'!)
