Balloons??
Can anyone tell me where I can get helium filled balloons in Hua Hin. Saw them being sold next to the boat once but it was only for the one day.

Could fill them up with methane for you!
As I do not seem to be getting much luck with this thread I will offer a case of Chang to the first person that directs me to helium filled balloons!I hope you havn't been a bad boy.
I have done the search option on this forum checking to see if this topic has been brought up before and for some unknown reason there is not a single piece of information about helium filled balloons.

A case of Chang gets mentioned and all of a sudden lomu gets deadly serious!
Anyway, I don't know if they do them themselves, but there is a shop on Sra Song Road nearly opposite The Boat restaurant, who sell all sorts of gifts, invites and stuff for all sorts of celebrations, notably weddings, and I would imagine they would at least know where you could go. Alternatively there is a place on Riab Tang Rot Fai Road (the one that has the railway running behind it) not far from the Chomsin Road level crossing which sells flower arrangements, and again they may also do balloons or know where you can get them. Also worth asking anywhere that sells packets of balloons I would think. I've asked my wife how to ask 'Where can I get balloons filled with gas?' in Thai, and she says it is -
'Tee nai dturm lom loog bpong doy chai gas?'
Hope that helps!

You can probably get the gas, or find out where to get it, from the people that supply industrial gases, like oxy and acetelene. I seem to recall seeing a depot somewhere, maybe around the golf driving range. Otherwise, ask one of the shops that make stainless steel products, where they get their inert gas from. The ballons from the places suggested. After all, TIT, it will not both be in the same place!GLCQuantum wrote: All applicants must give detailed answer, name and number.

Just a quick caution reminder.
Please be careful not to have any fire near those balloons! Since they will be filled with flammable gas they can cause a big disaster as it caused in a wedding in Turkey!
Some of the balloons were leaking gas and one idiot guy poked his cigarette in to one of the other balloons, the place lit up with flames which caused a major fire in the wedding-saloon, not to mention people got burns and injured during the stampede.
Very happy hours turned in to an inferno, so please be careful especially the balloons will not be in an open-air gathering.

Say mai penrai live longer!
That is the whole idea of using helium--it is non flammable! What you have described will happen if a flammable gas is used, it MUST be inert.webmaster wrote:Just a quick caution reminder.

There have been many industrial accidents due to the use of the wrong gas, sometimes because the wrong gas was stored in the wrong container. Be very sure that the gas you are using is in fact what you are told it is.
