Yes, the Hin Lek Fai monkeys are the nastiest I've encountered in Thailand.

Alternatively they could just renew/repair the existing viewpoints and paths. It would cost a lot less, though not so good for some personal bank accounts.

The monkeys at Hin Lek Fai were not always like that.
The problem is that a lot of money was spent on Hin Lek Fai with the view of it being a tourist attraction. It was never promoted. Visitors were fewer and fewer and the shops and restaurants were abandoned. No customers - no business.

Everything was in place. Ample parking, large Aviary, great viewpoints, shops and restaurants, good road access.

Why did it fail??
