Golf Shirts

Fellow Golfers,

im in dire need of about 6 new golf polo shirts

not impressed by what i see in Springfield, Lake View, Royal, Sea Pines, Only Golf , Bluport, Challenge Golf Outlet Cha am......

(Not been Banyan or Black Mountain for a few years now )

other than Lazada(cheap copies) is there a website anyone uses for golf clothing as per UK?

Or do i have to go to Bangkok to get them? and if so where?

I hope this isn't a stupid question, but I've Googled it and can't see any difference. What makes a 'polo shirt' into a 'golf polo shirt' please? Is there a fundamental difference?

For polo shirts I use the Warrix online site. Some decent shirts there, and many at very good prices using some innovative e.g. non-sweat materials. The big plus for me is they do fatboy sizes, but non-sweat in this climate is huge bonus also. I'm just not sure if they could be used as a golf polo shirt.

No not stupid especially for a non golfer which I assume you are

That's what is meant by golf polo shirts. We like the logos. Sad but true!

I will check out your site. I would wear a non golf branded shirt if I liked it both on/off course

Sweating - excellent point for golf. Some of my shirts are useless sweat wise(I believe a local company call Seven, I'll never buy their shirts again) Best for that issue I've had is Puma. Would love to find more of those

Black mountain have deals on all the time, seem good quality and good wicking properties. ( essential for golf in Thailand)

I would also say that golf polos are an inch or two longer in the body than a polo you might buy in say A:Z which is designed to be worn untucked

Many golf clubs insist shirts are tucked in(quite right too, got to keep the standards up!) Here in Thailand I've never seen or heard of such a rule

Also golf polos would generally be a more generous fit due to the body movement required

Wasn't meaning POLO as in the brand (if that's what you thinking)

Although they do have a golf range or certainly did have (different material to the classic RL POLO)

As I stand on the first tee, I'm not too concerned about my sartorial elegance - as long as my clothes are sort of acceptable.

However, I will spend a lot of money on clubs.

Golf first. The rest doesn't matter too much. I'm not on the catwalk.

Shirts....nothing too flashy but a solid golf polo can be easily be worn at night for going out too. I see many guys wearing them. I'm lazy, can't be bothered shopping for even more styles of clobber.

Bought some PGAtour shirts yesterday at Robinson Petchaburi. Clothes promotion on ground floor promotion area. Are genuine factory rejects/oversupply, 230 Baht each. Limited choice but better than paying 2000 or more in Bluport etc. Bought a nice Lime Green numer. Also last time I was at Royal Hua Hin they had good shirts at reasonable prices.

On another note my Mileseey rangefinder is still going strong a year on. However I do also have a watch which I use a lot but use the rangefinder to confirm the flag distance at courses such as Springfield where the staff constantly get the pin colours wrong
