TV series worth watching/downloading

If you were to read the books all you might recognize are a few names of people and planets. But the original trilogy is terribly dated.

I watched The Teacher, a mini series shown on Ch5 earlier this year, last night. The IMDB rating was very poor, but I thought it was excellent.

Yes, The Teacher is not to be confused with 'A Teacher' , the US show which had very good reviews on IMDB. Starred Kate Mara from House of Cards

I watched about 4 episodes(of A Teacher) and thought it was rubbish and binned it.

So have you watched The Teacher? It was so good (for me), I even switched my laptop off to concentrate on the TV. I couldn't understand the poor IMDB rating.

I admit I'm very critical about most series/films I watch. But I agreed with most of IMDB negative reviews of this having watched it

I thought the whole team of people behind this, and a lot of the actors, just ruined what could've been an excellent production.

Hey ho. One man's meat is another man's poison etc. I've had some excellent recommendations off this thread(notably Unbelievable and Dopesick to name but two) and you have to take the rough with the smooth.

I completed all 4 seasons of Yellowstone. It's what I would term 'very watchable sh*t'. But despite it being nonsense at times I was quite happy to watch it as it was entertaining.

Landscapers, I've stalled on this halfway through , not sure I'm bothered about finishing???

Eagerly awaiting Ozark S4 Part 2....

And i enjoyed a Belgian series called Undercover (from which there is now a spin off movie called Ferry which I've yet to watch)

And one called Start Up(Martin Freeman from The Office) was quite watchable

Fauda is good too

And now there is a new series of Top Boy to watch

Ps am I the only person who didn't actually finish The Queen's Gambit?! Just didn't see what all the fuss was about!

It does, but you need to have a sci-fi mind. Its not a drama about a fat detective traipsing around a wet Welsh field on a Wednesday morning looking for a corpse!

Yes, I enjoyed it. Plenty of scope for a second season
