Looking back on that, it never would have worked unless, as they do, hold your passport hostage and you want your certificate before you leave. I haven't investigated, but I've never read of any other country implementing a post-injection waiting period.

When I had my booster, they took your ID/passport from you and after 30 minutes your number was called and you received an updated certificate.

In the UK, I believe the waiting period was 15 minutes. Or it was in the practices that grouped together to administer the vaccine where my nephew is a GP.

After all my 3 shots, Johnson and Johnson, Moderna and Pfizer (11th March), at Bangkok hospital I had to wait 30 minutes.
Same for my husband for his 2 shots of AstraZeneca and 1 of Pfizer at Cha Am hospital

In fact due to the volume of people being vaccinated, the 30 minutes was easily 45 minutes.

No and I actually was a bit surprised by that because even back home they practise a 15-30 minutes wait after all kind of travel vaccinations etc. However and as mentioned quick handled and I came there just before 11am and filled in the obligatory form waited a few minutes to deliver my passport, covid -19 certificate of vaccination and also my International Certificate of vaccination which they all of stamped and signed and then to the nurse which actually waited for me and not opposite and then I was done. Btw, also got all three injections duly noted and stamped on Thailand certificate of vaccination.

If you read further back on this thread, GHW who seems to know what he is talking about advices that unless you’re in one of the vulnerable categories, there is very little evidence supporting a fourth vaccine

I wouldn't say I'm giving that advice (wouldn't presume to do so) but I am seeing a good number of articles where people who are much more knowledgeable than me, are raising doubts over whether there's enough evidence to recommend a fourth shot for healthy adults at this time.

Having said that, there are of course always two sides to any argument.

Here's an article arguing that there's very little downside to having a fourth dose, so why not get one?

And it remains the case that if you're over 65 or have a clinical vulnerability, then many countries' medical authorities and experts are recommending a fourth dose for those specific groups of people.
