There are no flights from Hua Hin to Udon Thani at the moment.

Twice this week I’ve seen small passenger jets (A320 size) approaching towards HH airport so somebody’s flying there?

Saw one of these on Friday afternoon. Mostly white and didn't seem to have any tail-end coloring. Possibly private, government or military.

It definitely wasn’t Air Asia colours but that’s about the limit of my identification

Air Asia are restarting their service from Hua Hin to Kuala Lumpur from 1 June, three times a week.

Still have pre departure and arrival tests in Malaysia, along with insurance requirements.

Taken that flight a couple of times and it is a very good option.

Regarding the insurance, do you need separate policies for Thailand and Malaysia then? If so, that is utter lunacy, but to be expected in this part of the world. Testing and insurances will cost more than the flight and accommodation for a long weekend away.

Wonder if, coming from KL, the Thaipass will still be requested and if there will be a PCR test on arrival at Hua Hin with compulsory 1 night stay at a SHA PLUS hotel ?

I can’t imagine it being very busy - I wouldn’t mind trying this out, but definitely not until all restrictions are lifted!!

Yes, there was a news article a few days ago when they opened the Malay land border and turned a bunch of people away for not having done the Thailand Pass.

But until June the rules may have changed 3 times.

The current published plan is that from June 1st, the Thailand Pass and Test and Go will be scrapped in favour of only an ATK test at the airport when returning to Thailand.

AirAsia has updated the schedule for flights between Hua Hin and Chiang Mai throughout May.

From 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟏-𝟏𝟎 the schedule is as follows:

Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday
Hua Hin - Chiang Mai (10:20-11:35)
Chiang Mai-Hua Hin (08:30-09:50)

From 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟑-𝟑𝟎 the schedule is as follows:

Monday, Friday, Sunday
Hua Hin - Chiang Mai (09:05-10:20)
Chiang Mai-Hua Hin (07:15-08:30)

There are flights today, tomorrow, Tues 26th and Sat 30th.

Depart HH 1315 Arrive Chiangmai 1430

Return flights on the same days leaving Chiang Mai 1125 arriving HH 1245

Starting next month, AirAsia will increase the number of flights between Hua Hin and Chiang Mai.

Another flight will added on Wednesdays.

From July, flights will operate every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Depart: Chiang Mai (CNNX ) 07:15, Arrive: Hua Hin(HHQ) 08:35

Depart: Hua Hin (HHQ) 09:05, Arrive: Chiang Mai (CNX) 10:20

I've seen it reported in several places today that flights to Phuket from Hua Hin will start on 31 August. No actual detail yet.
