I thought we had a thread on this already for those who enjoy audio at times over video, but I guess not.

Below is a good one and a subject those in the UK may be very aware of. I wasn't at all as I don't think it appeared in any international news, not that I saw at least. The repercussions and remedies are still ongoing.

The Great Post Office Trial

The extraordinary story of a decade-long battle with the Post Office, fought by their own Sub Postmasters. Some call it the largest miscarriage of justice in UK legal history.

It's not the best constructed podcast. It's 11 relatively short episodes that could/should have been made into about 4 or 5 with less repetition of previously stated events. Anyway, it's very sad as it ruined many lives and to me it seems like something that should never have happened in a country like the UK.

It's not over yet. They allude that they are going for the throat of the people who intentionally perpetuated the lies that destroyed those people over a span of almost 20 years. They better hurry, as some of those responsible may be dead soon?!

This has been in the UK press on and off for many, many years. As already alluded to, it seems incomprehensible that so many of these people were found guilty of fraud shortly after the introduction of a new Post Office accounting system - whichever way you look at it, it’s either complete incompetence on behalf of the PO or complete incompetence of the judicial system - or both!!

So many peoples lives were ruined by these wrong accusations - a number of them died before they could be reprieved - I’m fairly certain a few even committed suicide.

Somebody needs to pay for these mistakes, I really hope it doesn’t get brushed under the carpet!!

This is an important decision regarding the financial compensation for the hundreds of postmasters affected by this trauma.
