Which to select, New, Active or Recent topics/posts

Post by Gregjam »

Not sure if this is even the right place to put this but no doubt it will be relocated by an admin if required.

Getting bored of nothing but Covid related content and wanting to see if anyone was posting anything else I clicked on Hua Hin Forum and found a few things that had been posted the same day but did not appear under active topics. Similarly neither did recent topics and new topics only showed that days entries.

So is there a one click way to bring up the latest posts covering all of the areas. Today I found posts for Thai Logic and Kaeng Krachan that did not feature in any of the quick link connections. What qualifies as an active or recent topic/post. The topic about cycling managed to garner five pages of content after only a few days and I managed to miss it although I get the feeling it was created by an admin moving off topic conversations.

This is not a dig at admins who I think do a wonderful job on this forum. I am not the most computer savvy person and just looking for an easy way to read what people are saying even the totally irrelevant on a slow connection where changing pages can take minutes on a bad day.

I agree, when you open up , the page showing is not always up to date, so as soon as you sign on click new posts.
Woke up this morning breathing that's a good start to the day.

I use the unread posts

Me too - If you keep up to date with the Forum, “unread” posts is probably best, even though it will mean clicking a few posts that you may have little/no interest in.

I never bother with unread posts - they're usually unread for a reason. I'm on line a lot so I log in to the forum several times a day - new posts covers everything for me.

They’re only unread because you haven’t read them - it’s the quick link “unanswered topics” that are the ones not normally worth reading!!

And I haven't read them because I'm not interested!

EDIT: I've just clicked on unread posts: there are 20 pages...

I saw what you wrote and tried the same thing, not only are there unread posts but posts I have commented or following. I think they are unread posts that you have never read, or followed up from your comment. :D

'Unread posts' all the way for me.
I don't trust children. They're here to replace us.
