Joy bar

somebody mentioned the "joy bar" to me and its been driving me crazy because I cant remember where it is

I have searched and cant find it

please help anybody

Are you certain that's the actual name of the bar ?

I'll tell you why, because I have a feeling that Suky Bar had the word Joy written on the sign too. But I'm by no means certain of that. Perhaps your getting confused with that type of thing??

Did you check the latest bar maps?

The lack of responses to your post indicates to me that there's no actual bar called Joy and I certainly can't recall one

The bar maps haven't been updated since 2018 - and these bars change names almost monthly!

I bet if another survey were done at the end of this year it would be interesting to see the shift between binta, soi 80 and soi 94.

I've just spent an interesting 10 minutes going through the Forum's library of bar photos from 2012. Some of the changes were amazing. Here are the 2 photos with Suky in the name.

In the mid-90's we used to call Soi Bintabaht as "Soi Joy" but I guess, this is not what you are talking about.

Joy bar existed at soi 94, but no more.

Joy Bar/Joy Guest House. Was in Soi bintabaht and run by Billy, he run it from mid 90's and many years.
Billy later have Billy's Bar in the night Bazaar area.

Joy Guesthouse, once a landmark on Soi Bintabaht in Hua Hin, Thailand, burned last Saturday, August 10, 2013.

Jack had it, then Billy, then the owners ran it into the ground.

To quote Billy:

So many good memories there. 24 hour sessions, John C******l falling down the stairs. MacLeod going to sleep in a normal bed and waking up in a water one. Gary only staying for a week and still there four months later. Old John, Pa Dek, Phil staying in the Honeymoon Suite. Lapland Larry and Bungy Bob. The list goes on and on.
