Thai national coming to visit farang at home (UK)
Re: Thai national coming to visit farang at home (UK)
Ahem. Try around 40,000 Thais with visas and return airline tickets 'as this thing blew up'!
A little more than 6 couples.

Sorry. I misunderstood.

If Key Visa are friends of this forum i hope Darren reads this. He has taken money from me before and has NOT completed the job. After calling him several times and politely asking for translations of documents as per our agreement, he just didn't give a fuck. Two of my friends here in Thailand have had the same experience. My advice to everyone would be to avoid Key Visa.

Maybe you would like to expand on your comments. There are usually 2 sides to every story.
I am not doubting your claim, but I can only reiterate that he has been faultless on each occasion that I've had dealings with him. I also know many other satisfied customers. Currently yours is an anonymous comment with little detail - nothing to answer.

I'd agree with BB. I've had excellent service. The last one was getting a first British passport for my Thai daughter based on a citizenship paper, probably something he'd not done before. It was done in double quick time.
Re: Thai national coming to visit farang at home (UK)
I got married in Bangkok a year ago and as usual with Key Visa I paid up front. I had no complaints with regard to the procedure in Bangkok and the liaising with a representative from Key Visa, however, part of the deal was that I would be given all documents translated to English, Malaysian and Thai. I've never received the translations. I e mailed Darren McGarry several times and called him at least half a dozen times. He always promised that I would get the paperwork soon. After 2 months or more I called again and when I asked for the translations he just hung up. Not once did I get angry on the phone or e mails. I'd used Key Visa before without a problem so cannot understand why he didn't provide the service as agreed this time. My reference to other people having a similar problem is a fact. I have no reason to say anything but the truth.

Thank you for expanding. I don't doubt you Blot, but it seems very out of character. Maybe Covid has saved my son having a bad experience. We'll never know.

I used key visa to get married, no issues but didn’t ask for translation. A little while ago I asked Darren for translation. After a few reminders he admitted his translator is on maternity leave. That may still well be the case.

But if that’s the case for Blot, why on earth not say so - he risks ruining an otherwise excellent reputationbenmo wrote:I used key visa to get married, no issues but didn’t ask for translation. My post refers to my marriage in July 2019 not as in Benmo's post "a little while ago". Additionally, if Key Visa had a problem they could have told me instead of ignoring my requests for months and finally refusing to even speak with me. And please tell me who gave them the excellent rating ?

There are many favourable reports on this forum, and to the best of my knowledge, you are the only one who has reported a problem.
The normal nature of forums is people always say when they've had a problem, and rarely speak out when everything is good.

Yes, it's a small snapshot from a forum that caters for Brits seeking to take their partners to the UK, as well as those moving in the opposite direction and sometimes both ways. There are many Thailand based members. But just as with all forums there are many more lurkers that don't post and some of us have become friends off the forum. As you say there will be many more than the posts you found.

You are absolutely correct BB, I have used Key Visa twice over the last few years and they have given excellent service on both occasions. I have only ever heard good things and we are very lucky to have the service available IMO
