Thanks Poe, Yes found it and they were very helpful, tested it with a multimeter (Think thats what it's called) and confirmed it was broke. However they did not want to go the extra mile and order me a new one.Poe wrote:It's just a few steps from the corner....right next to a bank.
Went to IT-Net (near shell station) who confirmed also that it was knackered. I bought a cctv dvr recorder from the UK. It was ok when I first tested it here a few months ago but when I tested again the power supply has blown, not sure if the crazy power here got past the psu adapter to the unit as he had a universal psu which got the machines power on but there is now a whistle from the board. Arghhhhhhhh. (Maybe should have just bought here) Anyway IT-Net are organising for it to be checked in Bangkok at the offices of Avermedia, the brand of cctv dvr.

Re: Where To Buy PSU - Power Supply Unit
The power adapter for my old Dell Laptop is on the blink.
Its input 240v and 50-60hz and 1.7 A. and output 19.5v 3,34 A (A probably stands for allegedly )
Before I look for a new one, does anyone know if the differences could be in the Thai electricity supply and this is the reason the charger mostly doesn't work?
