Building time Regulations

Post by lomuamart »

If a condo build is going on very close to a residential area, are there any restrictions to the hours that can be worked?

I appreciate that TIT but what's the law and if necessary who should complaints be made to?

Thanks.

A condo was recently built outside my bedroom window, they started at 08.00 and final knock off was 22.00, 7 days a week. I found that loads of alcohol helped me sleep.

I remember years ago when I lived down the canal road a large property was going up right behind us, it took forever and yes, they seemed to knock off at about 10pm.

There is nothing you can do but prepare your liver - noise and zoning regulations don't exist here!

There are actually laws which state what times you can build but even if you know them no one does anything. We had a building going up near us and they often worked all night but nothing was done. I am afraid it is something we just have to put up with.
