Tessabahn annual property tax

Post by Jim »

This is bound to be a silly question, but the Teassabahn yet have a facility to pay the annual property tax online? Or do I still have to go to the office with a roll of notes?

Thanks in advance. Jim.

A roll of notes.....

More like, one coin. 8)

I'm pretty sure it cost me more in petrol to get there, than the tax. And that's not even taking the scenic route.

When we paid property tax, we had change from 100 baht. That was at least 10 years ago and nothing since.

This is the new property tax law to be enforced from 2020.
For the first two years the new tax is enforced beginning in 2020, properties worth over 50 million baht are subject to applicable tax rates of 0.03 percent to 0.1 percent; the upper end of that range belongs to land and houses, condo included, worth over 100 million baht.
Better start saving up!!

If the 0.03% rate applies on a 5 million house that would be 1,500 Baht - not a huge amount, but a significant increase on the 50 Baht or less it is now.

But the starting point is 50 million, not 5 million!

A house registered in company name is liable to quite a lot of tax. My annual bill is 15k. Please, does anyone know if this can yet be paid online?

I doubt that there is an online facility, however, you may be able to pay it through a bank.

Your post did make me feel quite pleased that I never went the company route as was my initial plan.
