Renewal of US passport, any HH service?

My wife's US passport is up for renewal. I know it can be mailed in, or physically taken to the embassy in BKK but mail worries me and we have no wish to go to BKK.

I remember a service that our Brit members use, but they do not handle US.

Anyone aware of a good service here that does US passports?

Even that service involved mailing everything to Pattaya, and receiving the new passport back by mail. EMS is quite efficient/trustworthy in my experience.

You could send it via EMS but the US embassy may not return it via EMS. You could also send via the post office and insure it. Check the US embassy website in Bangkok and see what they say about mail ins. Anything to avoid Bangkok.

If you don't trust the mail then how are you surviving in Thailand? Much worse things to get your attention with immigration than the simple EMS mailing of passport renewal to Embassy and them returning it back by EMS mail to you. My wife just renewed her US Visa by mail and there were no problems.

I've lived here almost 5 years and have never needed to mail anything. Sending a passport through Thai mail worries me, yes, so if a service was available I would rather use them, guess it isn't so EMS it is.

I always use the Kodak shop across Petchkasem Road from Soi 80.

I use the Kodak shop on Soi 74, between Sa Song Rd and Petchkasem Rd. Can usually find a parking space around there. They have different colored back ground sheets as required.
