Mods delete this topic if you want please. Sorted.

We were driving home last night when a Owl was in the middle of the road. Gf managed to drive so the car passed central to it. I got out and managed to catch it as it could not fly more than 5 feet in height. Didnt look good but could not see any damage. Think maybe we were possible not the 1st car to pass over it. Thought that it was possibly in shock. Put it over night in a container with a towel and water in a dark out building. Got up this morning and checked on it and its eyes were fully open. Took it to some open land to see how it was. Put it on the ground and away it went. Flew to the roof of a house then another and then took off flying to a tremendous height.

Was a great feeling and has made my day. Beautiful creature.

Nice story and well done to you!

Maybe you should offer your services as a bird rescue service, as I doubt there is another, apart from vets?

Firstly, well done for helping the owl - I'm quite jealous really.

I did a few searches last night online (as I'm sure you did). Everything that looked a possible point of help was close until this morning.

I'll leave the thread here, in case somebody does come across a rescue unit in the future. It won't help you. but might help somebody else.

Edwin Wiek would take any birds that need attention. They are not far from Hua Hin.

Yes, that is one of the places that came up as closed last night. I didn't mention them because Midsman said it was urgent (or at least ASAP - I'd forgotten by this morning), so I assumed it would be too late.
