Locations that serve a "good" Amercian / English breakfast.

Restaurants, food, beverage, hawkers, and local markets and suppliers. This is the place for discussion on Hua Hin's culinary options.

Thailand does not sell field Mushrooms
Most people have not even seen or eaten field mushrooms. The trick is to catch them before the flies attack and the maggots start eating.
I know this because my crew at RAF Halton doing a daily perimeter check used to bring back a large bin bag full.
A 12 inch field mushroom will shrink to half size when poached in milk and is a good breakfast on toast.
As an aside my guys collected tomatoes from the local sewerage farm, from dried effluence. the tomato pip cannot
be digested by humans

Mushrooms are packed with nutritional value. They're low in calories and are a great source of fiber and protein. They also provide many important nutrients, including B vitamins, selenium, potassium, copper, and vitamin D.
I fry them in the bacon fat with a dash of Worcestershire sauce. (Pronounced--Lee and Perrins)

I have never had brekky there, but Ritza is near the Marrakesh, turn left on to Petch Road and it's no more than 5-10 minutes walk heading towards Takiap. It's on the other side of the road from the hotel. Very modern and clean place. I buy their soft white baps for my bacon rolls and their pies are quite nice as well. When I buy my bread I almost always add a meat and potato pie!

Just had what I consider to be the best ever English Brekkie in Hua Hin. New small restaurant in Soi 94 called Kanchana kafe. Is located in the small Soi's on the way to Yammsard school.

I had the standard breakfast B125

2 Eggs, 2 rashers of bacon (no fat), proper pork sausage, hash browns, baked beans, grilled tomatoes.toast including good quality coffee with warm milk.

Was excellent the best I have had in Hua Hin. Also a small clean terrace with fans to sit out and enjoy the food.

I am not in any way connected to the restaurant just an occasional english brekkie eater, happy to share a good experience.

Will most certainly go back.

Always interested in a good brekkie, so have looked it up. Bacon looks a bit iffy in the photo (maybe a bad photo), but the hash brown must be the largest I've seen. Only 1 toast. At 125 Baht, there is very little to lose, and we will definitely give it a go.

Thanks Big Boy. The effort that you put into providing those maps deserves a much more prominent place in the index.
The search box does not show them, or the place where the Hua Hin Map is listed.

In fact, the link to Hua Hin Map states that it has expired?

BB

Bacon was not a rasher as we know it but not ham either. Having said that it was good and definitely no fat, looked better in the flesh than the picture.

The lady there also does a small breakfast B99 and a big boy version, from memory think it was B200. The regular size was more than enough for me.

Happy eating

Don't worry, we will try it, but that 'bacon' looks the same as many hotels here in Thailand serve. I am not a great fan, but I'll make sure my son is with me - he mops up what I can't eat.

My honest 'advance' opinion is the place is too far off the beaten track to be a huge success, unless Siam Milsim keeps him busy.

Well, just had breakfast at this place. The next move is to make an appointment at Hua Hin Hospital for an oil and filter change! Jeez, nice staff, service and even the small breakfast was too much, BUT all swimming in oil and fat!

This is such a recurring thread. 8 years old, 250 posts, almost 33,000 views.
It underscores such an ingrained cultural need of western ex-pats. We can happily eat Thai food for lunch and dinner, but for breakfast we need the comfort food of our childhood.
