Where are they now?
I'm not sure if this is just morbid curiosity or having a bit of free time for a change, but there are quite a few regular posters who have vanished into the ether. I've always thought of this forum as a community, and I'm interested to know (without great detail, of course) whether they are still alive and kicking and where they are.
I've had a quick(ish) scroll through the membershiop list - got up to about 2008 before my eyes started drooping. Some were banned, but I'm still curious about them (hell, some of those were the most interesting posters!). I've obviously left out those I know have passed away.

Re: Where are they now?
They haven't applied for any marriage visas at any embassies .... have they...
Re: Where are they now?
At least three of those have been banned and at least five moved to the UK.
But two of them are moderators.

I will do my best - I might get some wrong:
Apologies if I've mis-represented somebody.
Going through some of the names e.g. Zidane and Jimmy Greaves, they used to post in football threads. The activity on football has basically dried up.dtaai-maai wrote: ↑Wed Oct 24, 2018 5:38 pm BaaBaa - disappeared after receiving constant barracking about Liverpool FC

Re: Where are they now?
Haven't seen any posts by Norseman and kendo recently, though I may have missed some. I've been back in the UK for 18 months, but I still have a keen interest in what goes on in HH. Just checkin' on my neighbours!

JW is still very much around and running his own business. I bought my house via him and I bumped into him in VM a few weeks back.
Last I heard of Dawn was that she was in the UK and had married.

Re: Where are they now?
Hi DM.
I have moved away from Hua Hin, made a new house in Korat and are living there.
The so-called sleepy fishing town has changed so much that I didn't want to live there anymore.
It's just turned into some sort of party-town, filled up each weekend with fools from Bangkok.
Same thing in Cha Am as well.
I just fell in love with Hua Hin when it used to be just as sleepy as myself, and I hate the new radical changes of this town.

Re: Where are they now?
Thanks Norseman, pleased to hear you are well and happily settled (though I don't remember you as particularly sleepy...) and thanks for the update, caller.

Well stated Norseman! My sentiments exactly and one of the big reasons we decided to leave. Anyone who was around before 2005 will fondly remember the "old" Hua Hin.Norseman wrote: ↑Wed Oct 24, 2018 9:17 pm Hi DM.

My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
Re: Where are they now?
Jimmy Greaves is alive and active and participates in our Champions League pool. In fact he's second after Tuesday's results. Pete

Re: Where are they now?
As I said, he was one of the Premier League Gurus. That is a thread that has taken a battering this season. I haven't looked for this season, but he used to be the guy to kick eack season's discussion off.

Hmm, his last post is dated 17th May 2016. Don't know that that would be called "occasionally". I seem to recall him posting that he was not going to use the forum anymore.Superjoe Still posts occassionally

Re: Where are they now?
Unless, I'm confusing him with somebody else, he's posted since then - maybe subsequently deleted.
