Thai Passport Clinic - Prachuap city

Post by Big Boy »

Is coming to Prachuap between 3 and 10 Sept. Opening times are 08:30 to 16:30 daily.

Clinic is at:
2nd Floor
Prachuap Khiri Khan Provincial Administration Organisation
Prachuap.

Much easier than a trip to Bangkok.

Renew or obtain a Thai Passport. To save the long journey to a regular passport office, they hold clinics around the country.

It's their 3rd visit and seems very successful. Processing takes 20 mins. Cost is 1,000 plus 40 baht for EMS. They're expecting between 3 - 4,000 applications. What a saving on the cost of going to BKK.
It is just for Thais. I wish there was a similar service for foreigners.

Guess you're not a yank, as USA Embassy does outreach service twice a year to quite a few areas around Thailand, and was nice when I lived in Udon Thani. Now it's either Krung Thep or Phuket for income affidavit. As closest to PKK, unless over to Patts. No Thanks

I wonder if the US is the only foreign embassy to do this. Unfortunately, the UK embassy has no control over passport services any more as its outsourced like a lot of things.

OMG guys

Just having a mad 2 minutes. We're off to the Passport Clinic in 90 minutes with my son, and realised we don't actually know what we need with us . I've Googled, and have come up with:
  • Old Passport
  • ID Card
We'll also take:
  • Blue Book
  • Birth Certificate
Does anybody know exactly what is needed please?

If over 20 years old, just old passport and ID card. If under 20 you actually need both parents to attend with their ID and applicant birth certificate. Pete
