Stone Head Band

Post by jeriatric »

Was in the moonlight bar like Band hated the Thai bouncer seem to think sitting down was only with his permission . Got stuck behind heavily smoking cigarman and had to leave because he would not let me sit elsewhere half empty . Regular drinker seen the band over a dozen times till then.

Hi Ladybird,

Yes, they are still playing live and loud! You can find them at the new Toro Loco on Soi 94. Coming up from Petchkasem, cross over the railroad and continue for about 400 meters until you come to a cross road. They are right on the corner opposite of Pizza Garden....

Enjoy and keep on rockin'
B.

Maybe a Moderator should change the heading for this thread. There is a certain difference between "Stoned Head Band" and "Stone Head Band" where the latter actually is the correct name!

Maybe "Stoned Head Band" suits them better. "One never knows, do one?"

They've been "Stoned Head" since 2013, so therefore in this 5th year anniversary of the thread we declare them sober and un-stoned!  Pete

The last time I spoke to the keyboard player, he was on the wagon so perhaps the name change is justified!

The keyboard player (Lom) has actually left. He had a "calling" and is now a monk. I've got to know Cartoon (lead guitarist, lead singer) very well over the years and he's really sad that Lom decided to become a monk, though respects his decision. They still chat and Cartoon went to see him at the monastery recently - he showed me a pic.

Out of respect for Lom, his keyboard still stands on the stage and they won't replace him. They do have another guitarist now though.

They're still going strong and I went to see them at El Toro Loco on Soi 94 in March when I was there. Well worth a visit.

Hi Ladybird,

When on Soi 94 also check out Rock Zone Bar & Live Music. They are just before the railroad crossing on the right side coming up from Petchkasem Road. Owner is a really nice guy and they have different bands rockin' there. Much smaller Bar than Toro Loco but cool atmosphere....

Cheers,
B.

That explains why I don't see him around anymore! Some years ago, he often used to come and have a late night drink after work and we used to chat and watch some music videos together.
