A 24 year old kitchen worker was shot dead in an apparent revenge attack in Hua Hin in the early hours of Monday morning.
Police found a large crowd had gathered near the end of Soi 41 on Petchkasem Road.
Kittichai "Nat" Bunrach lay dead near the central reservation. Riding pillion he had been killed with a shotgun and had wounds to his forehead, cheek and arm.
Friend Sarawut Srisagna, 22, said that he had been with the victim drinking with a total of five friends at the 19 Rai Queen's Park. They split up to go home with the victim travelling on the back of his Zoomer X motorcycle.
When they got to the area of the shooting four men drove up behind them on two bikes. One man shot at his friend knocking him off the bike and killing him instantly.
The men all fled.
Sarawut said that Kittichai had been having a feud with other people at the kitchen where he worked in Hua Hin. He was a chef's assistant.
There had been a fight earlier resulting in an injury and he suspected that the men had laid in wait for an opportunity to shoot his friend.
Police led by Pol Capt Jareuk Khonkarian are investigating.

Re: Soi 41 shooting leaves one dead
And a shooting between Thais in Soi 41 makes the nightlife going to a crawl. Last night even the infamous area "behind"Hilton had to close 2 am sharp. The two discos, Cat and Polo were not open at all. All this was becausenof the shooting in Soi 41 according to many people I asked, including several bar owners. I fail to see how these two things should be related, but this is HH so nothing surprises me. I had a friend here and he was bit disapointed with the early close, but then again he is used to Pattaya nightlife which never closes.

The word from a Thai friend of mine that is family of a police officer, the 12AM closing time and nightclub closures will last 1 week.
This is said to be a knee-jerk reaction from the new police chief that arrived last week.

Police in Hua Hin have announced the arrest of two of the four teens responsible for the shooting of a chef's assistant on Monday night.
Kittichai "Nat" Bunrat who worked at a restaurant in the holiday town was gunned down by a shotgun blast as he rode home from the 19 Rai Queen's Park.
At the park there had been an argument between the victim and four youths all aged 19.
Two have been arrested and were taken on a reenactment to the park and the scene of the shooting yesterday at the end of Soi 41 on Petchkasem Road going south.
Pol Col Thanakorn Wongsirilak said that the shooting resulted from a drunken argument that started at the park. The gang didn't like the way the victim looked at them as they were leaving the park so they followed him and shot him.
Two men remain at large and are being sought. None of the men have been named and were just referred to as Kai, Pet, Petch, no charges were mentioned as yet.
