Small restaurant, uncomfortable and you have to bring your beer with you.
Small maybe, but no smaller than many other Thai side of the road type places.
Uncomfortable - absolutely not unless they were warned about you and made you site on the ground in their back yard. They have regular tables and chair which are no better or no worse than most places in and around town.
Have to take your own beer - That is news to me because I've always managed to order a beer there but admittedly, I have not been in a while.
Size and comfort is a personal point of view.
But the couple of time I went there, I had to buy my beer at a nearby shop or at 7/11.
Khao Soi in Hua Hin = At Khao Tao, I know a better address in Chiang Mai.
Do you know where Khao Tao is? It's only 3 or 4 km south of Hua Hin. Just past 7 Kings.
From center HH 15 km. south. 555
Some sort of nitpicking pissing contest? I live in Khao Tao. You can spit across the border into Pranburi, but this is still firmly part of Hua Hin city, post-code 77110, and just 10 minutes drive from Bluport. It's got some pretty good little restaurants too.
And so, with thanks to RCer, I finally sat down to khao soi at Loft Indy this afternoon. Very satisfactory. Interestingly, although it's more expensive than most of the other local lunchtime places around here - it's a "real" restaurant - there were a dozen or more customers still at table in the early afternoon, all but me being Thai.
