The wife of one of our Thai friends is pregnant and we what to bring a little present when we go back.
We are from Wales and were thinking of a Welsh dragon cuddly toy. Would that be an appropriate gife given the significance of dragons to Thais?
Views would be most appreciated.

Appropriate gifts for Thais
The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.
Re: Appropriate gifts for Thais
Most of Thai people think "Only money is honey!" Also after a childbirth. Every kind of toys you can buy in Thailand too.

Yes, I was going to mention that also. The only problem may be that the baby's gender is not known yet.
When my grandaughter was born I bought a set with gloves, booties and I think a bonnet. The first time that we took her to the doctor at just a couple of weeks old, the entire staff of that department were wanting to know where the clothes came from.
May you be in heaven half an hour before the devil know`s you`re dead!

There are gender neutral colours, although looking at many Thai babies, colour does not always seem gender specific anyway .
