Hi,
Looking for somewhere to do PRP treatment around Hua Hin if anybody knows of a place?
I have found places in Pattaya but would prefer somewhere closer if possible.
Thanks!
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) Treatment
Re: PRP Treatment
For those who don't know, including me:
"Athletes who endure chronic pain from tendon injuries can finally get relief from a safe, non-surgical procedure. It's called Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy, and it utilizes platelets from the athletes' own blood to rebuild a damaged tendon."

Re: Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) Treatment
I too have been researching having this treatment done on my left knee, torn meniscus. But I have only really looked at Bangkok as I assumed that would be the best place to start. But as my Dr said yesterday this procedure is normally for arthritis and the like. GN
Re: Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) Treatment
^ There seems to be many other applications than just arthritis. Below is one article. There are many more on Google. Pete

Re: Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) Treatment
Yes, Interesting PeteC. That is a good link, thanks.
I am due to have a further MRI scan next week, maybe I will need to have surgery to remove my torn piece of meniscus, and I have read apparently PRP can be recommended post op to improve recovery, so I may ask about that with the specialist, I'm still working not planning to retire for at least 8 years yet, but I am in increasing pain when working.
With reference to cozza's OP, I hope you find a reputable establishment to have this done, and let us know how it goes.GN

Thanks for replying, would it be possible to give me the contact for your doc and where in Bangkok you have found doing it? It may be the closest to Hua Hin unfortunately. My doc wants me to get an operation done and Im really looking for anyone who can give me some kind of indication if it will even work, apart from the clinics that charge for the service of course.
I called Bangkok Hospital to inquire about it and after 20 minutes trying to explain to 3 different people what I was after they told me they dont do it. But, if someone can tell me other wise I'd love to know!
Thanks!

Thanks! The clinic in Pattaya is certain I will be healed and ready for running after 1 month with 3 rounds of treatment. So Im skeptical of course!Green Nomad wrote: ↑Thu Oct 19, 2017 3:17 pm Yes, Interesting PeteC. That is a good link, thanks.
