Sorry, been out for a while. Go to 7-11 and buy True Money. 380 Baht is probably the best package, so you would need 1 x 300 Baht and 2 x 50 Baht. That will give you 20 Baht credit towards next month.

^ Is TRUE somehow associated with this ILIKE HD company?

Done all that successfully. A couple of question:

How do you get 'catch-up'?

My internet is 30 mps download which has been more than adequate for pretty much everything - Thai Expat TV, UKTv, FirstoneTV.eu etc etc. However, there seems to be buffer problems with ILikeHd channels. Do I really need to upgrade my internet which will then increase the cost of ILikeHd as the increase would be only for them. No other system needs it!!

Catch up, we'll use BBC1 as an example. When the screen appears on your laptop, beneath it is a list of programme available as catch up. Choose your programme, and click it (remember the programme times are displayed as UK time + 6).

I've been getting some buffering, but nothing that I can't live with. We have bear in mind that they admit to a few server problems at the moment.

UK programmes work best on Europe A & B servers.

I have written to them about lack of functionality on the android systems. They have replied, but I'll need to sit down for a while to understand their answer,

My Internet has been poor for a few weeks now (don't think it likes the wet), and is much less than yours, but I'm OK.

If you're using your old Expat TV Android Box (as I am), remember what somebody has said above about optimisation, and how obtaining their box improved things significantly. At the very least, I would hope it would give you more control of things like server selection, access to catchup, etc. I doubt I'll jump in any direction until they've resolved their server problems.

Learning as I go....................

I've just been into settings on my android box (it was very bad this morning). I manually increased the buffering, and if you choose speed test, it optimises your box. Much better now.

I'm Happy. I'm now an expert thanks to BB's training course.
I'm running off a laptop plugged into the TV. The buffering problems seem to have disappeared.
BB, are you running 3BB for your internet? The reason I ask is that the slowest speed they offer now is 30mps for 600 baht and they give a very good service.

I'm on True. Had to dump 3BB when they were too busy to fix my Internet - estimated time was several weeks.

Sorry to hear that, BB. In my experience, if they can't fix a problem over the phone then an engineer is at my house the same day or the day following. Maybe I've just been lucky.

Mine collapsed just before the last World Cup, and I needed Internet to watch the footie. Mind you, as soon as I told them I'd replaced them with True, they had an engineer around a couple of times a day, but having switched, I wasn't interested, and didn't allow entry.

Anyway, we digress :offtopic:

HDPrime is closed down indefinately. Arrangements will be made for refunds ........

Just when we thought we had a better alternative to Expat TV!!! Launched on the 1st , closed on the 4th. Didn't last long.

Back to square one.

Ahhhhh that's a big shame. It was great while it lasted.

I still refuse to go back to True visions. Need to find an alternative.
