My top pick is still YTS - ALWAYS great quality movies (picture and sound-wise at least ). Now at www.yts.ac
Also one of the very few not banned from the UK, so I can't see any problems accessing from Thailand.

For TV shows etc. take a look at https://www.filmon.com, for sports try cricfree.tv or https://www.douyu.com/491911
You'll likely need Chrome to translate the latter as it's in Chinese, but very good quality streams - saw the Joshua fight recently in HD quality where most other sites dropped out.

Re: [ADVERTORIAL] Thai Expat TV
Can you give a link because I want to dowload to my computer and it seemed to be about Androids when I went to the web page = also guidance would be appreciated. I just want news channels like BBc and SkyHHTel wrote: ↑Fri May 12, 2017 12:16 pm I've just downloaded and installed UKTV.
40+ channels in good quality. No buffering problems. 10 day 'catch-up'
Never heard of it before. It's absolutely free. The program schedules are timed in GMT so you have to do a little working out as the time bar is in 'summer time'. Been watching it for a couple of hours now and can't fault it ..... yet. Always a little suspicious of 'free services'

Be very careful with some of these websites offering free streaming, some are quite dodgy as they are often funded by a lot of popups and annoying ads that may lead you to malware.

That's something I'd have to look into to be honest. I'll ask the Long Haired General when she puts in an appearance this morning.

Excellent site for documentaries - ihavenotv.com. Can stream or download.
Re: Best "free" film/TV streaming sites?
Those who are good at computer internet related things will have no problem finding a variety of individual sites for news, movies, documentaries etc. What I really haven't seen yet is a one-stop-shop for everything for the IT challenged to replace Expat/365. Something easy to set up and operate, and a place to go for quick advice when a problem arises. I'm sure some legal site exists that can do all this, or there should be. Pete

Re: Best "free" film/TV streaming sites?
^^ I think that a legal one-stop streaming service along the lines of expattv would be quite expensive given the way that the source TV channels sell licences, together with how sports authorities sell broadcast rights as well. However we are starting to see streaming services such as Netflix, iflix, amazon, etc. coming into the picture. In Thailand we are also seeing local ISPs starting to offer foreign TV channel streaming (eg AIS playbox). Maybe in the future there will even be legal ways to watch TV programming from our home countries of the class of BBC and the like.

same problem.
Well, I tried to download 'uktv' without luck.
First I only saw mobile providers, and when trying to register (subscription)
I was asked to pay in bitcoins!
Too much of a hassle. Thought it was free.

Re: Best "free" film/TV streaming sites?
If no new service surfaces and people here have to go to the source country to see what they want to see, having a VPN will be paramount so you better simply get one and go from there. I can fiddle my way around many USA sourced shows and movies but I have to appear to be there, and not here. I'm sure it works the same for the UK. I'm registered with the BBC and have an account with a Chelsea post code as they asked for a TV license post code and I just picked one. I couldn't haven't even gotten to that point without using a VPN showing I was in the UK. To be honest I've never really tried to watch BBC shows via their IPlayer but I imagine I now could, being registered as being in the UK, and using a VPN. Pete
