Spoke too soon - utter shite today.

Users of TOT and True fibre optic may not be able to access the forum due to DNS issues at the provider - I'm tethered to the phone using AIS EDGE now and it works so there is obviously no problem with the forum itself.

I'm OK today but yesterday am it was in yo-yo mode. Called 3BBB in BK and they said there were some inconsistencies in HH and re-routed me about 2pm then all OK. Now they don't make you wait for an operator but you leave your number and they call you back. 4 times they called me back promptly and even called again this morning to ask if it was a consistent connection now. Can't fault their response at all.

Speed not fantastic but I don't need high speed for my activities on the ether

Lets face it, all internet providers here suck! :banghead:

The biggest downside to my autumn trip this year was how much worse the internet connection was compared to earlier this year - far too frequent drop-outs and everything taking painfully long to load.

I'm wondering how much of this is unavoidable, and how much might be improved by better wifi units and the use of fibre optics within my guesthouse (Jings) - if it doesn't cost a fortune to get a significant improvement, I might stump a share of the cost.

It's been in yo-yo mode for a few weeks now what ever you are using. TIT

The initial problems with TOT fibre services seem to have been fixed and it is a lot more stable than before with no recorded outages in over a week. Its no faster but reliability over speed works for me every time.

It is really luck of the draw. I am delighted since switching to True. I know somebody else who has been pulling his hair out trying to use True. All providers are the same - I switched from 3BB because of the poor service, but others are delighted with their service.

No consistency.

I can't believe the last post on here was in October 2014 - does that mean TOT have been doing their job for five whole months?

To be fair, I've had no complaints for a while but the last few days have seen my speeds bouncing up and down although mostly in the downward direction. Anyone else on TOT noticed a slow down in the past few days?

Our TOT fibre connection has drastically worsened over the past month to the point that it is now as bad as it was before the "upgrade".

Mine's generally been OK but not as good as it can be. Weekends always seem worse than normal and this one was no different - especially Sundays!!

Well, I;ve been having problems with the basic 3BB package for ages - instead of the 10 mbs I pay for, I occasionally get 5-6, but usually below 1.

I changed to TOT fibre optic [?} package when it became available last week and pay 800 bt a month for 20 mbs. I appear to be getting between 17 and 22. Happy as a pig in doodoo, particularly when watching 365Sport.

TOT And Weird Routing

Post by Ratsima »

Any of you TOT customers noticed degraded performance today?

A large percentage of my Korat webcam photos fail to upload (curl connection failure). My website is hosted in KL. I did a traceroute and found that it went from Thailand to Singapore to Paris to Marseille to Mumbai and finally to KL.

Seems a bit circular.

Yes, extremely slow, and just disconnected for a few seconds.
