Oh I'm still here..... despite RZR's "negotiations"!! :D

I wouldn't be too concerned though...... I have a habit of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory!! :(

Good to see that Caterham will be racing at the final GP in Abu Dhabi after raising the necessary cash through crowd-funding http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/30055510

[EDIT] Some really supportive comments from the "Poison Dwarf": -

"The news will not be met with unalloyed joy by F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone, who said in one of his more maverick interviews that the sport could live without smaller teams, whose plight he likened to ‘poor’ Oscar Pistorius.
‘They are not front-running teams,’ he told Campaign Asia-Pacific magazine. ‘They’ve only got a name because of the problems they’re in.
‘This poor guy in South Africa, for instance, has got more interest because of what happened with him than when he was winning gold medals.’"

1. Bianchi is apparently doing better but still not conscience. Moved to a hospital closer to his home. I don't have a link reference for this one. Read it somewhere today but can't find it now.

2. Michael Schumacher paralysed with memory and speech problems – (per friend)

Hamilton is making it difficult for himself. Both Red Bull cars start from back of grid due to an illegal front wing.

Hamilton wins the race, and the Championship.. Thank God the double point scheme didn't come into play. Ricciardo had the fastest lap for the first time this season. If Red Bull improves their car, Riccardo could take it all next season IMO.

Pharvey, like Hamilton, wins our pool tournament going away, and has the best race with 16 points. Congratulations Pharvey!

Final results for podium are Pharvey 295.50, Redzonerocker 287.50, Pete 287.50. RZR secures 2nd place due to type of points achieved.

That's it for this year folks. Hope everyone had fun, and thanks for playing. :thumb: Pete

^ Couldn't agree more with regards to Hamilton taking the Championship and the "Double Points System" not coming into play..... Congrats to him for a deserved Championship win - only the 2nd Brit to take 2 F1 Championships.

As I'm sure everyone will agree, a huge hand to Pete for organising and captaining yet another thoroughly enjoyable tournament - looking forward to next season!!

Whilst it is so wonderfully enjoyable finishing ahead of RZR, I do unfortunately have to acknowledge that it is by far more luck than know-how or skillful selection that I managed the Podium let alone pole in this year's competition!!

That aside, any chance of celebrating with a few rockets at the Lodge Terry - I have a new Chinese supplier? :duck:

I'll take that as a compliment :D

It was probably just as enjoyable pipping Pete for the runner up spot

So, well done PH, a well earned victory

. . . . . and cheers to the rest of the competitors, see y'all next campaign

No problem - provided we tie your left toe to one of them 8)

Big congrats to the 'Hamma' - well done that man.

Have to say that Rosburg has gone up in my esteem, after the determined effort he made to finish and the very sportsmanlike words he gave about Hamma.

Next year is looking like a cracker again - although glad that we will not see the stupid double points repeat.

Anyway - pharvey - if you want to come and let a few rockets off - please let me know first - I will will evacuate the place 8)

Yes, and that despite whoever the idiot was on the radio that told him to "box", "box", with less than two laps to go! :?

I think they were trying to give him the opportunity to avoid being lapped by his team mate, who was just coming up behind him as the message was aired.

Just finished watching the race, as we had downloading problems. So a belated congrats to pharvey, RZR and Pete. Thanks Pete, for running the pool, I think that you deserve the Constructor's Trophy.

I was secretly hoping that Nico would do the job, but the Hamster thoroughly deserved the trophy after his blinding start from the grid. Even if Nico hadn't had car problems, it would've still been Lewis' race. It was also lovely to see Massa (my little teddy bear) on the podium.

Looking foward to next year with all the musical chairs re. the drivers, and fingers crossed that Jenson can get a seat.
