Arjen Robben - Spit or Sweat ?

Post by Pagey »

Short vid of Robben & Sagna during Wednesdays CL game. Robben is immensely talented but has a nasty vile streak. Spit or sweat like he claims ? :guns:

United were so, so poor against a very average team, it was scary.

But apart from stating that obvious and undisputed fact, I'm saying nowt about Chelsea's chances tonight.

For me it was the worst performance of a pretty dismal season.
If you cant be up for a Champions League knockout match, its pretty disgraceful.
Cleverley and Young arent worth their place,Valencia continues to disappoint.......Ferdinand and Vidic coming to the end of their United careers.
Van Persie complaining other players "were in his place"........thats surely down to tactics or lack of them.
A dozen United players should be shown the door at the end of this season.
Olympiakos....just an average team.......I'd rate them similar to someone like West Brom.

Don't I recall something like Man U 1 - West Brom 2 earlier in the season...?

Yes,but thats my point. You wouldnt expect a high class European team to struggle against the likes of West Brom,Sunderland or Olympiakos (no disrespect intended to them).
With the exception of Arsenal,United have lost comfortably against all the other leading sides in the Premiership also (Chelski,Citeh,Scousemonkeys and Spuds).
I think most United fans are prepared to write this season off provided there are seems of encouragement and improvement before the season ends. That has to be March and April ie. now. Moyes has taken on an incredibly difficult job but if this season ends badly and next season starts in the same vein,I fear for his survival.
Also if the board is going to sanction 120m for new players in the close season its a dilemma if Moyes can be trusted to spend it wisely.

I'm just glad Baa Baa is still recuperating in The Priory and is unable to post regularly.......... :rasta:

Well, another game that Chelsea should have wrapped up in the 1st half, but didn't.

Now he's fit I'd like to see Oscar back in the side, we need something to refresh us. I don't think we have played well since beating Man City.

A very good game too. For me the goalie (is it DeGea or something like that?) earned his corn last night, and kept them in the competition.
Championship Plymouth Argyle 1 - 0 Leicester City

Points 48; Position 18

And Chelsea put in their best performance since beating City away! Played with a lot more pace and energy throughout. Welcome back Lamps!

Hope they don't carry that on come Saturday, we need a substandard Chelsea to stand any chance of Wenger winning his 1000th game in charge!

I sense a bore draw on the cards. Not sure who needs to win most?

Chelsea to keep abreast of the rest, or Arsenal to make a push at the title?

De Gea has been one of the few plusses in what has been a pretty dismal season. He's now firmly established as one of the top keepers in the Premiership, nothing like the error prone player of a couple of years ago.
Draw for the Champions League Quarter Finals is 6pm Thai time tonight.United must be rated as the outsiders and every other team involved will be wanting to play them.I think the only side we have a possible chance of overcoming,on current form,is Borussia Dortmund......but you never know.

Man Utd. v Bayern Munich

Chelsea v Paris St. Germain.

No easy games at this level!

Here's Bayern's reaction on hearing the draw!
