The size of the pics in classified ads is ridiculously small
and therefore simply useless. Much better to load the
proper size photos in any of the free upload sites and
then post the photo link in the ad.

This is poor advice by Farang. Such action will corrupt the forum's formatting and moderators will have to remove or re-size the photo.

The file size limit is 200kb - you can get a 1000 pixel wide photo at that which is more than sufficiently sized for 99% of people.

Yes, quite, I was referring to personal classifieds ads of old, when the maximum size of to photo-to-be-posted was a twopenny postage stamp. It now is bigger and this problem is over. Therefore my advice is now invalid.Grim Reaper wrote:This is poor advice by Farang. Such action will corrupt the forum's formatting and moderators will have to remove or re-size the photo.
I have posted personal classified ads and have included a link to outside hosting services with 3 - 5 M photo sizes with no apparent adverse effects.
Did you really have to march out the Grim Reaper for a matter like this?
