I thought Spurs look a lot more dangerous when Defoe came on.....as a neutral I couldnt fathom out why he was on the bench and Sigurdsson was in the starting line up.....grateful if one of the Spuds fans on the forum could enlighten me !

The reason they looked more dangerous was because Palace went hell for leather attacking and left the back open.

I read a quote which said Newcastle valued Cabaye at £30m, so unless there is a considerable move from one/both parties, I'd put the champagne on ice (or in the freezer)!!

I have always felt that Bale WOULD leave - he's only human after all.

IF he STAYED (Doubt it) - What a bloody team........................

Meanwhile - back at the Arse' - one derisory offer for Cabaye - Mon Dieu again.
I honestly feel that it's time that they got rid of the French connection - well maybe he should stay. I'd miss the sight of him marching up and down in the Michelin overcoat which is almost as bad as AVB's raincoat.

There was a quote on BBC Sport from Tony Adams saying that he doesn't think (or maybe has inside info) that Wenger would be at the Arsenal for much longer and added, "he would love to be their next manager, although with the current squad they wouldn't win anything"!!

Great player and captain, but a crap manager.
Arsenal have proved their model was the best, until now, Ideally the American owner should sell his shares To Usmanov and re-employ David Dien. Having said that spending stupid money just for the sake of it wouldn`t work either, remember Man City paying over the odds for English players who didn`t make the grade. I also remember Arsenal getting criticized for fielding too many foreigners, looks like all the other teams are now doing the same so it seems acceptable now.

Looks good business, apparently we saw the opportunity to bid because of Anzhis woes but wouldn't bid above 25 mill, you did, he wasn't on our list but the opportunity was there.

Let's hope it works out as well as Sigg and Dempsey.
