Premier League 2013-2014
Re: Premier League 2013-2014
I was actually a little embarrased by Moyes taking this up with the Premier League.
Your first 10 games could be the most difficult but you can then go on an unbeaten of 28 games against the weaker teams that should surely guarantee you a top 4 finish.
So the big kick off starts at 12.45 lunchtime UK (6.45pm Thai) with Liverpool v Stoke,so a comfortable enough start for Stokes new boss,Mark Hughes.
The title looks to be between Chelsea and Citeh with the Spuds third......the 4th spot between United,Arsenal and Liverpool but I'd love to be proved wrong.....and possibly will be !
For the relegation places its hard to look beyond Hull and Crystal Palace but the two NE teams,Newcastle and Sunderland, could well be in the mix,as well.

I'm surprised that most people are writing Man U off and don't expect them to finish higher than fourth. The transfer window is still open, so whilst I was expecting Moyes to already have bought either or both Baines and Fellaini, there is still time - if he gets them both and keeps Rooney, there is no reason why they can't retain their title. Baines is a great attacking fullback and Fellaini is a threat in the air and can mix it when necessary - the bite that Paul Scholes used to provide. Without either of them, I still reckon they will finish in the top 3.

What did you love about it?caller wrote:Loved Rodgers claim that Liverpool are a bigger club than Arsenal. So that's why Suarez wants away then?
Arsenal are a bigger club than Chelsea and Liverpool are bigger than both. Just because we nearly went into administration doesn't make Arsenal a bigger club.
Unless we're counting getting screwed by leveraged buyouts over, ya know, trophies.

They'll probably finish 3rd, I'd go Chelsea, City, United, Spurs.Dannie Boy wrote:I'm surprised that most people are writing Man U odon't nd don't expect them to finish higher than fourth. I don't particularly rate the United squad but they just get results, or at least they did under Ferguson.
Moyes has never won a thing and has removed the entire coaching staff, I haven’t time to go into it now but he's just got rid of some of the best coaching staff in the world and brought in, eeeerrmm, Evertons staff.
Even Fergie struggled when he lost number 2s and other staff. Moyes has demolished the lot.

Well he got them off to a fairly good start..........and whilst it doesn't count for much, Moyes did collect the Charity Shield in his first competitive game. Still only one game old, so plenty of twists and turns to come over the next 8-9 months.BaaBaa. wrote:They'll probably finish 3rd, I'd go Chelsea, City, United, Spurs.Dannie Boy wrote:I'm surprised that most people are writing Man U odon't nd don't expect them to finish higher than fourth. Re: Premier League 2013-2014
Nice to see Danny Welbeck scoring a couple.....he only got one in the whole of last season in the Premiership.
I think Villa will surprise a few teams this season and a top half finish is realistic for them.
Arsenal....theyve got a lot of money to spend but havent signed anyone.....the same team as last year wont be title contenders.
Simon Mignolet......Pepe Reina is just a distant memory for Baa Baa now !

It looks like Liverpool are signing Willian for around £30 million this week.
