Do you have to put your insurance on?
Last season, you couldn't lose any points, but could still gain them if the result/outcome was correct. This season, it's simply zero, regardless.
I'm not complaining as in the first two gameweeks my predictions on the insurance games have been wrong anyway.
I'm supposing that if you don't play that chip, then the "autopilot" takes over and you lose a life. Is that right?

Not true!

I got the first weeks insurance "right" i.e. I got the score wrong, but lost no points.

On Wednesday, I predicted a 2-2 draw on a game that ended 1-1 and got 20 points! My match report told me that I had wasted my insurance!

I'm more annoyed about Uniteds last minute goal that robbed me of 50 points!!!

OK, so it's the same as last season.
I also hate it when the match report says you wasted the chip when you picked up points.
Anyway, it was interesting to note that of the three Chelsea fans at the top, two evidently didn't fancy their team's chances mid-week. When I saw the result the next morning, I was expecting you all to have lost your BB

I had them to win a tight game, they lost it instead - beware the teams in all red!!!

This is far more serious than the premiership, everyone knows who's gonna win that - this is life and death.

But even the mancs let me down - who can you trust?

I found this weekends games the hardest of the three to choose so far - time will tell - or otherwise (getting my excuse in early!).

Lomu, I think you are right and caller is wrong. If you miss any of the prediction whether it be scores or chips the autopilot will cut in. Each time you use the autopilot you use a life. However the autopilot choice should have the same effect as you placing the chip yourself. It is poosible that they have changed the insurance chip functionallity altogether. I have to read the instructions again. So far with me my insurance chip has been used wisely so I have had zero each time. We will see tomorrow. (well later today I suppose really).

I'm only talking about if you can still score points if your insurance is wrong - heres my scores from week 2 as evidence:

GAMEWEEK 2 PREDICTIONS RES PTS

Tottenham 2 - 0 Sheff Utd 2-0 + 30

Watford 1 - 3 West Ham 1-1 -10

Aston Villa 2 - 1 Reading 2-1 + 30

Blackburn 2 - 2 Everton 1-1 + 20

Fulham 0 - 1 Bolton 1-1 -10

Man City 1 - 2 Portsmouth 0-0 -10

Charlton 0 - 2 Man Utd 0-3 + 20

Middlesbro 0 - 1 Chelsea 2-1 -10

Doh! Sorry, it won't copy over the banker and insurance! The former is on the manc game and the latter on the blackburn-everton draw!

What happened to the AV-Newcastle game?
It wasn't played. Was it scheduled? I can't find anything on the internet about it. It was on the IKTS fixture list for last night.

Hey thanks Guess,

I downloaded Firefox as you suggested, and it works, I can now visibaly see my banker and insurance chips and where I placed them. With Safari for the Mac it never ever placed them and I have used up my three IKTS lives on the most popular positions of these for the last three weeks. I reckon it's cost me 75 points so far for three weeks. I should have picked up 60 points for Liv/WH this week for my banker, but lost out. OK, now fully spammed up, St. Mary's Sausage is coming at yer. Watch out you Blues - COYR.

Actually this is the first time I'm using Firefox, the increase in speed on my computer for online activities is very noticeable. Cheers mate for the info, I owe you a beer.

JD,
That's very weird because I have been using Safari since day 1 of the IKTS in Hua Hin with no problem (on a Mac). Have you got the latest OSX? And have you been updating your software? I have a pretty old G4 PowerPC Mac running the latest OSX and Safari. However I can't see this 'NeoCounter' that is apparently on the messageboard!

JD and WL,

Even though you have two similar machines the cofig andv ersions of all the modules involved would have to be indentical and the machines identical to prove anything.

The messgae here is if it works don't fix.

You couls always send a moan to PremierLeagues.com to get your lives re-instated. This problem must have affected millions.

Mil_dos had a problem on a Mac but he fixed it in the end. But being eleven years old he is probably way ahead of us with computer knowledge.

The Manc game doubled your points from 10 to 20. Your insurance chip was wasted. Would have been a darn site more sensible to put it on the Watford West Ham game.

All the insurance chip does is ensure that the lowest score possible is 0. Ie if you get the outcome wrong you lose zero points instead of 210.

As for the autopilot is concerned you may as well get on a plane from Hawii to Alaska with Wanderlust and Lomu as pilot and navigator.

WOW

Middlesborough beat Chelsea at home then get hammered at home 3-0 by Portsmouth. Be surpised if anyone got that one right. Interesting to see the state of the table tonight. Wiil the Chelsea 1,2,3 come to and end? :) Correction 90th minute another goal 4 -0. Quadruple WOW!

James,

Am I right in thinking you have had a good score this week? If you have - well done. For me, I thought it was the hardest to predict so far and that has proved the case. I lost another 10 points on tonights game!

Oh well, theres always next week.

You should be concentrating more on the sports pages of the Guardian rather than reading their biased anti eastern propoganda that supports US and UK terrorism by hiding the true facts reported by drunken slobs sitting at office desks in Manchester. A least the sports pages have an element of truth in them.

Newcasltle were drawn to play some Mickey Mouse Latvian (suburb of Helsinki) in the European losers cup. They had not recovered from the shock of failing to win so could not play their fixture against the on form AV at the weekend. Very convenient huh?
