Just had lunch at the Pimtara Restaurant. My first visit and we were very impressed. It's on the Klong Road north of Immigration near the junction with soi 6 (I think?). In a row of newish brightly coloured shophouses next to a lawyer.

Anyway, aside from having a jolly tasty burger and chips, and a fried rice and noodles that had the fussy Mrs D-M nodding with pleasure, I noticed on the menu 'chicken curry, popadoms, naan and dahl'. I think that was it. Around 250 baht, take-out available. We'll be trying it soon.

My wife and I have visited Pimtara a number of times, Always well satisfied with quality and price. Bit out of the way but so are many good places in HH.
The Indian Chicken Curry is great (Burmese chef)... Sometimes not available. Wise to check first.

Yes, Pimtara is an excellent restaurant - extremely clean and everything well presented.
The food is great with a good variety to choose from - and Pim & Chris are great hosts, too!

And the chicken curry really is to die for !!!

Closer to soi 2. If you go down Petchakasem to soi 2 drive to the klong road it's about 100 meters on your left.

Just returned from Pimtara and as mentioned above the chicken curry is brilliant and a bargain for 200 bath
(low season price ) normally 230 bath.
My GF had a nice seabass dish whicis 250 bath and tasted wonderfull too.

Maybee one day they put some light in all these lamppost that is allready there,its bloody dark
out there,but theres nice and clean and the sevice is polite and nice...

Will try something else next time and return with a review.

Pimtara is on my list, looking forward to it.

I tried the MTR indian food and thought it was very average, I had a Chicken Jalfrezi that Ham and Bacon are supplying... buksi is right, yiou can smell it. Sure its becuase the spices are all fewshly ground - for me the best curries I have had in Thailand. Go try em

Had an HHH&B chicken korma last night. Spot on. I like my Indian food mild and this was perfect. Decent naan too. Can't report on the dahl yet as they're out. Chicken Jalfrezi in the freezer waiting for next week.
Korma 200 bt, naan 35 each and a fair size for the price.

It looks like a visit to Pimtara is on the cards, and especially since it's so close to where I live. Been past there scores of times but never stopped to check it out. Anyone know if the do take outs?

i had ham and bacon Curry last night and nan with poppadoms and chutney it was very good and as mentioned above it smelt as good as it tastes while it cooked

I've also eaten at pintaras plenty of times i'm working down the menu and never been disappointed by the food ,well worth a visit the curry is excellent so to is the sausage and mash

I watched it this week, it looks to be a great series. I really enjoyed it, I like his cooking.

Similarly FLOYDS INDIA ( Keith Floyd who passed on about 3 years ago ) There was a book published of all his recipes in the series which is excellent - very easy to follow using all the correct spices which are available in Hua Hin
