Re: Car Challenge?
Well done DM and Steve.
The clues were ... (and answers)
The offspring of Jimmy Hill (massive chin spoiler)
and Serena Williams (extremely large rear end),
with a splash of James Bond (covered in Martini)
and nothing from Cameron Diaz (no bust* 'Monte Carlo OR Bust' *but I think she now has a bust)
even when I finish first I am still number two (beta is Greek for the number two)
those in front of me are just blockers (easier reference to beta 'blockers')
I couldn't think of a clue for Lancia.
Awesome car in this specification, complete rust bucket in road spec.

Re: Car Challenge?
Although there are windscreen wipers, it looks like the rear of the car, but even if correct, no idea what the car isSTEVE G wrote:What is this a part of?
Re: Car Challenge?
No, it's the windscreen and it's a rare one-off.

Re: Car Challenge?
All those curves make it look like a Nash or Frazer-Nash, but the only models I can find with a raised air intake on the bonnet are Frazer-Nash convertibles.
This is the way

Re: Car Challenge?
More technical - the possible intercooler intake in the middle would suggest front engined but those sweeping wings and low bonnet suggest it should be rear engined or flat engined? Does it have a boxer engine ?
Re: Car Challenge?
It's a front engined V8 and I think that box in the back is just covering part of the structure.
Re: Car Challenge?
Not a Frazer-Nash but the same period as those with similar curves.dtaai-maai wrote:All those curves make it look like a Nash or Frazer-Nash, but the only models I can find with a raised air intake on the bonnet are Frazer-Nash convertibles.

Re: Car Challenge?
Do you mean this isn't 'just' a car, it's something else as well ?I think that box in the back is just covering part of the structure
Re: Car Challenge?
Neither American, Soviet or an Edsel and before the 60's. To be honest, I don't know what that box actually is but it isn't relevant, it's a car and a pretty rare one, it would be worth perhaps $5-10 million if for sale.
Re: Car Challenge?
I've just found a picture of the back of the interior and I would say that box is covering the rear suspension mount.

Re: Car Challenge?
At that price, with a V8 in front, not much of a back seat if any is it Italian? Ferrari ?

Re: Car Challenge?
There doesn't appear to be a front passenger seat. Was this 'one-off' built for a specific purpose other than straightforward road transport people-carrying?
