Songtaew in huahin

Does anyone know if I have to pay for children when I go with the Songtaew, sometimes I do next time i dont have to do. The children are 5 and 6. ???? :?

I've always paid for my grand children (7 and 12). The prices are usually displayed at the front of the passenger compartment.
