Since the popularity of Meerkats, pandas at London Zoo have been sent out onto the streets to get a job. "Times are tough..." said Paddy, "when I ask passersby for a [bamboo] shoot, I get offered a share of their syringe. I just spend all day loafing around the kiddies play area. It's fun, but I've now got the nickname Pervy Panda. The government should do more to help those of us born in this country. OK, pandas are not indigenous, but I was born and bred here, so I have the same rights as the donkeys and hedgehogs."
