I am amazed that most of these posts about kitchen design were submitted by the male of the species.

Does it then follow that you guys are the "Head cook and bottle washer" in your household?

Or do you just like meddling in womens' affairs? :tsk:

To be quite honest, a Thai's sense of what's beautiful is an acquired taste taking a long time to appreciate by the western male beholder. To put it more frankly in the words of an old German friend from years ago, "Peter, Thais don't know what's beautiful...". I tend to agree thinking in a western sense. Therefore, if we don't want a replica of a Thai kitchen in our houses, no choice but to become heavily involved.

As far as cooking. Thai females can become quite good at cooking western meals, but schooling is needed. There are a ton of western cookbooks in Thai on the market now, and with our group of Thai friends learning how to cook western dishes has become a popular pastime. My wife now makes the best pasta sauce and beef stew I've ever tasted, bar none. :D Pete

HI bonnielass.

I would have thought most of the guys inquiring on this topic as indeed any other, have Thai wives or GF. If that’s the case, you’re not likely to find their lady friends asking the questions here.

As ever I maybe wrong, sure someone will guide me.

Correct. And the Thai partners need a little guidance in the HomePro jungle as here under is an example of the kitchen most grew up with.

No, my involvement with a kitchen finishes the moment it's paid for!
