Soft Daily Contact Lenses

Post by Siani »

Can anyone advise me please. I use the soft once monthly disposible contact lenses. Last time I was over in HH I found they clouded up a bit when they got warm. Does anyone find they have the same problem? Maybe they do not work so well in a humid climate? In the UK I wear them all the time, daily, with no trouble. Any ideas please?

Wear them all the time, no trouble except sometimes in cars if the air-con is blasting to high. No difference from the uk really.
Use the Duna brand manufactured in Korea

I managed to fly with them in, stay in HH for 3 weeks including moped riding and fly home without taking them out. I use Air Optix Night and Day by Ciba Vision. I can honestly say discovering these have changed my life, I wish I had started using them years ago.

I get mine in the UK and they cost £50 for 6 inc a small bottle of cleaner/solution. I'm a Yorkshire man so make them last longer than 1 month with no problems.

I get them from www.lenstore.co.uk

Very good service and I have no hesitation in recommending them :)

I use Lenstore too, but have not tried the ones you leave in monthly. I do recommmend soft lenses, they are great, really changed my life. If you go to vision express they give you a free trial..well they used to. Now I order from Lenstore, once you have theperscription. http://www.lenstore.co.uk/

Lenstore do them I think, just had a quick look for you.

http://www.lenstore.co.uk/search/Air+Op ... 0and%20Day

They will post out ...

International Airsure — Royal Mail

£9.99

4–5 working days

Only available with non-UK delivery addresses

I normally get my lenses next day in the UK, they are very reliable.

My eyes are.... one eye, +2.25 and the other +2.50, they do various sizes, as some only do +2.50, +3 etc.

When ordering lenses it is important to get the correct perscription, as some are a different size in diameter. Mine are ... Power: +2.50 Base Curve: 8.7 Diameter: 14.4

If they do not fit properly you will not see correctly

There are cheaper ones with lenstore. I agree they do last longer than a month. I always clean mine in the palm of my hand with some solutuion using my little finger.
I used to get them from vision express. I went on an easy care plan of 6 lenses + solution including 3 monthly eye test for £15 a month. This was about 18 mths ago. I cancelled it when I came out to Thailand. The benefit of this is that they can tell if you have any eye problems, as they examine right behind your eyes.
It is really important to keep a check on your eyes. My late mother had 2 sucessful operations for cataract which was detected quite early on.

The above sounds good, as I said before. Just one question, I have been thinking about... did you swim with them in? I am a swimmer and do not swim with my present lenses. I also have to leave it a couple of hours (sometimes longer) to make sure my eyes are not sore from the pool chemicals before wearing them again.

Yes I swam every day in them, both in the sea and pool. My eyes are better for not putting them in every morning and trying to take them out when I have had a drink or worse, forgetting to.
