Marion, I travelled down by road from the Airport in BKK to Hua Hin on Monday, and while there were some locally heavy showers, we made it quite without problems

My wife put off her trip to Issan for a week and left today. She took a van to the northern bus terminal in Bangkok with no problems and now she is on a big bus headed for Issan. I just spoke to her and so far no problems.

This doesn't bode well for Bangkok. Come mid- to late-next week another tropical depression appears to be on its way ... pretty much aiming directly at Bangkok:

With any luck the projected path will change, but in any case it will probably land somewhere in Thailand, which is not good.

Your favourite time of year is here HHF. 20c on my side of the gulf this morning with lows in the teens forecast for all of next week. I'm sure it will work its way to Hua Hin. Time to get out the flannel shirt! Pete

I was on a rare after dark outing in town last evening and did notice that it was cooler than the previous few days. I actually had a meal without sweating in my food!

I wish every day was like this; a nice light refreshing shower in the morning followed by an abnormally cool day. I didn't turn on an A/C all day!

If this were the norm instead of the exception, I would love it here!
