I quite like the pier, it should be good and cheap, but it is not. Sea food from a fishing pier should be so cheap, its not. At night it is good to see the fishing boats and Thai families congregating there. Unfortunately it is at a price today.margaretcarnes wrote:I guess some of us are just 'townies' at heart - lets face it HH isn't exactly a big place. But in response to some of Sianis' and others points - I actually think the Night Market area in HH has improved. Certainly in terms of the eateries down there. I just like to sit and watch the antics of new tourists as well.
Some of the pier area restaurants have been a ripoff for years I'm afraid and they certainly are tourist ground only. For me gazing out to sea in a brisk breeze doesn't compare at all with squeezing into a noisy, hot, colourful and chaotic market front restaurant.
As for cafe coffees I'm a heathen and won't tolerate all the skinny latte frappe crappe anywhere, especially when a decent hot black cuppa can be had at a stall for 10 or 20 baht!
Now the tailors are a different, and off topic matter altogether, but given time they will get to know the expats and, believe it or not, will leave you alone - come the glorious day!
Re: coffee I like black coffee, I just like good black coffee

Re: Tailors...no they will not leave you alone, even after 3 months

We have gone off topic again Mags...we will be told off again

Yes my original post was about this good new cafe..give it a try, most enjoyable
To refresh...It is called:
Best beans coffee, Nongkae Takiap road, Nong Kae Hua Hin. Just a few mins from the flyover going down to Khao Takiap on the left, very end shop.
Yum!
