Does anyone have the dates for this year's festival?

They don't usually release the official dates until about 6 weeks before the event.

Previous years it has been on the first or second weekend of June so that would be either the 3rd-5th or 10th-12th.

Check back on the forum as we'll update this thread as soon as we get the info from them.

Does anyone yet know any details of this year's Hua Hin Jazz Festival - particularly dates? If it's normally sometime in June that isn't so very far off. I'd have visitors from Australia and they have to book flights, hotel rooms etc.

Just had an email from a client who lives in Spain - Jazz festival 12th to 14 June, no idea how she found out or if the dates are correct! I know she works in the hotel industry so maybe has info that way.

The TAT have yet to announce it officially, the second week in June is the most likely which would put it at the 10-12th. Highly unlikely that it will run on a Sunday to Tuesday as the primary market is Bangkok weekenders (the last nine festivals have all been weekends).

As usual the "marketing" company for the event are staying quiet for now.

Your right Buksi, i didnt check the dates! I did think it was unusual that someone in Spain got the info! Having said that nothing surprises anymore..

Is there really no further news about dates of the HH Jazz Festival? Either it's not going to happen this year and the organisers want to save face by silence or it's perhaps possibly going to happen but the organisers couldn't organise a p...ss up in a brewery!

Good idea to check dates as I see from various sites it is either the 8th Festival June 10th - 12th or 10th Festival 12th - 14th.

No point in linking to hotel websites as they're just guessing like the rest of us - all they want to do is get bookings and commissions.

Calling TAT is your best bet, good luck with that though, we've tried it!

AWOL (a free weekly Hua Hin news rag) says that TAT have announced Friday 10th June to Sunday 12th June as the HH Jazz Festival dates this year. Dates, nothing else! No information about performers, programme of events, performance locations etc. etc. The TAT site that shows the date is http://www.tatnews.org/events/events/2011/jun2011.asp

Just spoke to a woman at TAT who also said July 8-9. She also said there would be a press conference on June 1st so the dates may change again.

Note the July, a month later than it is usually held!

With the dates now announced as (Friday) July 8th and (Saturday) July 9th I was wondering whether the change of month may have anything to do with the tides. I have just had a look at the tide tables and note that high tide on 8th July is at 22.09, while on 9th July high tide will take place at 22.15. Does this mean that there will not be any stages on the beach? Or does it mean that.......?
