Re: CHA-AM fishing Park
I got a 30kg Asian Carp out of there last year. Took me 45 minutes to reel it in. Still have to try Terry's fishing park in Hua Hin.
Why is it called 'after dark' when it really is 'after light'?
Re: CHA-AM fishing Park
i'll be back there for sure and hope to get one of the 80kg monsters
Re: CHA-AM fishing Park
Hi there...
I may be incorrect on this but I think Cha-am fishing resort would be kinda in competition with 'Hua Hin Fishing Lodge' (which is a sponser) so thought I'd give it a plug on this thread also.
Or are they both the same place again

If it's within arms reach, there's nothing to worry about!!

And there we are again
Just noticed there was already a mention of Terry's place from 'Hobie Cat'.
Dont take any notice of me

Re: CHA-AM fishing Park
Some balance for Mr Dork
I have been to both places. Hua Hin fishing lodge at least 6 times
Hua Hin Price
50baht per hour capped at 250baht
equipment hire 250baht
Ground bait 70baht
Bread loaf 50baht
Hua hin fishing lodge has more varieties of fish, but if you want to catch lots of fish and the odd monster the CHA-AM Fishing Park is the place to be.
Whilst I was there 25, and 2 30kgs Mekong catfish were caught and the carp man pulled in 3 monster carp at least 25kgs.
At hua hin fish lodge I have caught carp, pacu, and catfish. The best was the Siamese Carp at 10kgs.
Now you have balance Mr Dork

Re: CHA-AM fishing Park
Out of interest Velboy, but are you mates with the person who owns the Cha-Am fishing place?
Not insinuating anything, just interested like.

Re: CHA-AM fishing Park
Nope first visit there was when I posted. (And I will be back)
I was impressed with the place and the fish were biting all day long and that's what I want.
At hua hin fishing lodge I have had good days and bad days sometimes only 1 fish after 4hours.
And considering it size in comparison to cha-am fishing lake I would have hoped for more.
Maybe there just more hungry fish CHA-AM fishing park.
I'm not knocking hua hins fishing lodge cause I have enjoyed days there, just Mr Dorks comment was a bit oh hum here we go again
SO in the interested of PC I produced some balance to keep everyone happy

Re: CHA-AM fishing Park
I was merely giving a mention to a sponser of the website in an appropriate thread so I don't know why you have to respond like a child. Just because of your comment I shall not be visiting this other place ( see I can act like a kid too )I'm not knocking hua hins fishing lodge cause I have enjoyed days there, just Mr Dorks comment was a bit oh hum here we go again

Re: CHA-AM fishing Park
Mr Dork your name is appropriate to the comment you made. Everytime a fishing thread pops up you will be plugging Hua Hin Fishing Lodge; I hope there paying you for your attention detail
You must have nothing to do in your life. Try getting off the sofa and take up a sport. How about fishing.
If you took the time to research before making a comment

These two comments are rather ridiculous as a pair. In one you are telling me that I must waste too much time lying around doing nothing and on the net, and in the other you are telling me that I need to research more before I post . Sorry I have better things to do with my time than to research your prior posts before I make a commentIf you took the time to research before making a comment

Re: CHA-AM fishing Park
Having just done a very quick 2min analysis(which you are to lazy to do) of your recent posts its seems you make a habit of trying to antagonise people.
So I will end any further interaction with you; I end by simply saying.
You are very sad

Re: CHA-AM fishing Park
i had a ball at cha am fishing park. i caught some huge catfish, and my wife really appreciated the covered bays with padded sunloungers.
Re: Cha-am Fishing Park
An old thread but ... took my kids there today and had a great time, it is about 7km north of the bypass/Cha-am junction, easy to find.
Day fishing rates rates are the same:
Own rod and gear - 200 baht
Hired rod - 300 baht
Bread bait - 30 baht
You can buy basic tackle (bait cages, hooks, floats etc) in the shop for a few baht. They also have a very reasonably priced restaurant and large beers for 75 baht.
Plenty of catfish (pla sawai) were caught, the largest around 16lbs. The highlight of the day though was my eldest landing a 53lb Giant Siamese Carp using the rod of a good friend who passed away last week.
Great low cost day out for anyone who likes fishing.
