Never sing along to songs in a UK Cab

Post by chelsea »

Just read this story in the UK Sun, about a guy in a cab singing along to the classic Clash Song "London Calling"

It is always said that cabbies know everything, but how stupid would the "Jobsworth" Taxi Driver feel after ringing this one to the terrorist police.
See the story below
http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2006150569,00.html

Just imagine if it had been a long trip and he has also sang along to "White Riot", "Tommy Gun", I Fought the Law, Bankrobber & The Call Up, the cabbie would have probably wanted him jailed for life.
I think that the cabbie should be nominated for "Plonker of the Week"

Beware from now on, if you are in a cab late at night and decide to sing along to any sort of music, just remember that you may end up being interagated if your music taste is not to the cabbies liking.

I only hope that my neighbours here in Perth West Australia do not read this story, as I have a number of Clash albums and always have them on loudly while I am working at home during the daytime.
 :guns: :guns:

I'm devastated.
How's about "Julie's working for *****"
Think I'll put Sandinista on now.

Ah, best Clash album has to be 'London's calling" That's the one that really got me into music.
Cool band, cool lyrics, cool angst!

To me, the death of Strummer is as important as the death of Lennon..
