bent £16.5 mil, bently £15 mil, pavlechenko £14.5, hutton £8 mil, woodgate £7 mil are a few that come to mindE-Dork wrote:
True, but spurs have never splashed out silly money for average players over those years (can't say if liverpool have or not), I believe Modric is our most expensive at 16 mil.
We also offloaded players for a profit during that time (berbatov) and spent the money on new players rather than wacking it in the bank to pay off debts.
you don't seem to know the ins & outs of your own clubI don't know the ins and outs of it but I can't see how liverpool have no money to spend yet spurs, using the same chairman, not some oil tycoon takeover, can afford to splash the cash and build a new stadium.

Please be assured that I only 'support' the Green Army. I follow most other teams with interest. (I'm not having a go at you personally here, but) If Arsenal are playing in the Champions League for example, I have a mental block from years ago, and would rather stick pins in my eyes than watch the match on TV. I would only watch if I had an interest in the opposing team.Manny wrote:You would appear to support the “elite” teams, which surprises me.
These are Chelsea, Man United and now Man City.
How wonderful to see we have returned to discussing Football rather than the assassination of old Manny by some bully boys.Big Boy wrote:Please be assured that I only 'support' the Green Army. I even had tickets to watch Arsenal thrash the Green Army in the FA Cup 2 years ago - I gave them away rather than suffer boring boring Arsenal.
I wouldn't assassinate anybody - we've all been infected by football, the only difference is that we've been infected by different strains of the disease.Manny wrote:How wonderful to see we have returned to discussing Football rather than the assassination of old Manny by some bully boys.
Far from it, I'd feel honoured that I've got another potential convert.Manny wrote:Can not say l am a fan, but who knows, that has not put you off them now has it?.
So, now you are a victim?Manny wrote: How wonderful to see we have returned to discussing Football rather than the assassination of old Manny by some bully boys.

Would you care to explain what I said to deserve your comments?E-Dork wrote:Ahhh Arcadian....... there's the Arsenal fan mentality I grew to love.
Arsey, cocky.....anything but civil on football related matters.
So everything I have said appears to be wrong. Hang on.... I don't believe this..... A (true) arsenal fan disagreeing with everyword a spurs fan says. Surely this can't be!!
I reckon your the kind o' guy if I tell you the sky's blue you'll disagree.
Ho Hum.... just have to wait to give ya a good thrashing again this time around and let the football speak.
Manny, you can't fool me, I think you're turning into a closet Green Army supporter. Come on man, it's time yo come out of the closet.Manny wrote:Have not been able to find which EPL teams have graced your turf in the last 10 years.
Do you know?, do not need score details, just interested that's all.
