Hi All,
Like many, I stumbled across this site by accident. I am also trying to locate Tony Tonks, amongst others - but others I have had better luck with. Last contact I had with him was in 1998 or around then. He was in Makkasan, Bancock and then moved to Prachuab Kirikhan. Here it was when i lost touch, would love to hear any news of anyone that may know where he maybe.
if you can help, would love to hear from you!!!!

Hi Rick and welcome! Yes Tim went back to Canada with his wife and their baby - he left HH in 2004. His leaving 'do' which HHAD mentioned was at the little bar on Naebkerhardt owned by Barry.
Barry then moved to a small bar on Satukarn Sq but that was demolished for the redevelopment. I heard he moved again somewere out towards PalaU.
Jaews' got one of those little units between Bernies and Billys and last time I saw her was still playing darts.
Doug East is still around, but his Little Big Horn bar had gone probably before you arrived.
Others you may know and are still in HH are keiron and Martin (one time regular customers at All Nations) and Jim, who had Coconuts. 2 years ago I stumbled across Jim at a travel place along from the Hilton - not far from Pattana.
Dom and Bear - who took over HH Ham and Bacon from Dunc - left ages ago, although I think Bear might still be in Thailand near the Cambodian border.
Plenty more are still there, but you're right, the place has grown beyond belief.

Mags,
Barry had the bar out on Pala U road for about a year then sold it a couple of months ago and is out of the country as far as I know at the moment.

My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

His intention was to move to Kon Kaeng after a stint back in the UK. He was looking to run a bar/restaurant/guesthouse in the city centre.hhfarang wrote:Mags,

I think any thread's good enough for a bit of shameless promotion.PET wrote:davidmartin wrote:A visit to Insight English is a must when your in Hua Hin.

Back to topic - didn't Don have a small restaurant and pie shop in ChaAm for a while as well? Seem to remember him being on the Avenue there - opposite The Lodge - about 2001/2.
