Here's a thread from a friend conus. I wonder if the same problems with Thai students and kids? I know the kids here "lust" after things western...at least those from families that can afford it. How far will it go? From below you can see I'm taking somewhat of a "western" approach to my problem...Hmmmm? Fair or foul? The daughter my friend references is the teacher, not a student. Pete

"Well, what do I need to say to this? Perhaps an open five to the back
of the head would knock the earpiece out? But, we can't do that to
mommy's little darlings anymore can we?
Against my better judgement we bought a gameboy for the 9 year old
boy here. But...after a few rough days, it is now under control.
Limited hours in the evenings after home work, and weekends only.
Other times, it is in it's case on the top of a cabinet he cannot
even see much less reach. My current "threat of the day" is to throw
it into the klong when he decides to be stupid...works so far. Tough
