TV Repair

Post by hhfarang »

Anyone know of a good Samsung TV repair technician in town?
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

I would have thought that there would be a proper official Samsung service center in Hua Hin somewhere, maybe just Google it HHF and that should solve the issue. Depends on what kind of TV it is, if it's a large LCD or plasma job then I'd go to the official place.

I've got three of those and now I'm nervous. Rarely hear of a TV going bad these days, at least for the first 10 years.

What happened HHF? Pete

hhf,
There is an official Samsung place just north of Index Living mall on the same side; they were quite helpful when I went there, so I would suggest going there first.

Thanks Wanderlust, that's great. I'll check with them.

Spitfire, I did go on Samsung's international site to try to find an authorized service center before posting. I couldn't find anything in Hua Hin but the site was very convoluted and confusing so I guess I could have missed it. There's also a Thai site I found but it was only in Thai language.

Pete, don't worry. This is preventative. The TV is working fine. It just makes a funny noise when I turn it off, like a cooling fan rubbing on something as it slows. It only happens for a few seconds in power down mode. Besides, I think you are ok as I bought the last of the TV's that my possibly need service in under 10 years. As I have the dedicated theater room, I wanted the biggest screen I could get. That, in Hua Hin, in 2006 was a 65" Samsung rear projection TV. They don't even sell them here any more. I want to find a repair shop as the projection lamp will go out some day too and will need replacing. I think it already has more hours on it than the lamp is supposed to last.
